Bangalore to Anaikatti: A Biker’s Odyssey
A thrilling journey through scenic landscapes and bustling cities
On the crisp morning of October 28th, 2024, I embarked on a thrilling motorcycle journey from Bangalore to Anaikatti. With the sun rising, I set off at 5 AM, eager to explore the winding roads and picturesque landscapes that lay ahead.
The First Leg: Bangalore to Krishnagiri
My first pit stop was at the renowned Murugan Idli in Krishnagiri, a mere 105 kilometers from home. The delectable masala uttapam and Madurai halwa were the perfect way to fuel up for the long ride ahead.

The Road to Anaikatti
The journey to Anaikatti was a mix of smooth highways and challenging diversions due to ongoing bridge construction. The roads leading up to Coimbatore were a biker’s dream, offering a thrilling blend of curves and straights. However, the city traffic proved to be a bit of a nightmare.

After Coimbatore to Annaikatti

Once I crossed the Tamil Nadu border, the road conditions deteriorated slightly, especially in the final 15 kilometers leading to Kerala. Despite the minor road imperfections, the scenic beauty of the Western Ghats compensated for any discomfort.
A Comfortable Stay at Sterling Anaikatti
Upon reaching Anaikatti, I checked into the Sterling Anaikatti hotel.

The staff was incredibly welcoming and polite, making my stay comfortable and enjoyable. While the hotel’s food was a bit on the pricier side, the overall experience was positive.

The Return Journey: A Test of Patience
The next morning, I started my return journey at 6 AM to avoid the notorious Coimbatore traffic. I fueled up with Shell V-Power petrol in Coimbatore and continued my ride, stopping for a hearty breakfast at Arukkaniyammal mess.

Unfortunately, the return journey was marred by numerous diversions and slow-moving traffic due to ongoing highway work. Despite these challenges, I persevered, eventually reaching Bangalore by 2:30 PM.
Reflections on the Journey
This motorcycle trip to Anaikatti was a truly unforgettable experience. The stunning landscapes, the thrill of the open road, and the warm hospitality of the people made it a memorable journey. While the traffic in Coimbatore and the road conditions in Kerala were minor setbacks, they did not dampen the overall experience.
I hope this blog post inspires you to embark on your own motorcycle adventures. Remember, the journey is as important as the destination. So, gear up, hit the road, and explore the world on two wheels!
